Air Jordan Spiz’ike – Fresh Since ‘85 – Black – Cement – Closer Look + Wallpaper

Another Spiz’ike we’ve seen plenty of previews of. And for the loyal followers of the site, you were able to finally get a personal look-see at SneakerCon. But for those who missed out on the event this past weekend, some nice detailed shots can help decide whether or not to pull the trigger next month. Not the typical Black/Cement look, this tonal combo makes for a nice alternative to the moniker’s overly used traditional look.
A hands-on look ultimately reveals that these are in fact part of the Fresh Since ‘85 Pack. Same insole, but a distinctive collar lining featuring the famous, “High-flying, death-defying 360 slam dunk” line. For those curious about the materials, check out the VI’s that are coming out later this month; the suede used for both pairs are pretty much the same.
Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) – White – Black – Varsity Red – Detailed Images

We’re only into the second week of 2010, and we’ve already been bombarded with colorway after colorway of signature bball shoes. Here’s yet another prospective release for Kobe’s new shoe- this time looking like it belongs to a Bull’s teammate. In typical fashion for almost every Nike model, the new ZK5 will soon sport a white/black/red scheme – and sneakerhead fave.
Having already given a heads up on these, we’re now able to present some better images. May seem too plain for people, but the red dash laces and a posterized image of Kobe on the insoles set these apart from some of your other ballin’ kicks of the same CW. Have your finances ready; these will be creeping up on us quick with a Frebruary 10th release.
DJ AM + DJ Premier x Nike – Inside the Design Process With Jesse Leyva
Nike Sportswear Global Design Director Jesse Leyva sat down recently to give us an inside look at how the DJ AM Dunk and DJ Premier Air Force 1 rivalry pack came together. In the video that follows the jump, Leyva discusses how DJ Premier wanted his name to be subtly incorporated into a dark design that would match his own fashion leanings this winter. With AM, it was all about that ‘varsity’ feel, which you can see in the Air Jordan/BTTYS-esque colourway he chose.
Nike Dunk Low GS + PS + TD – Year of the Tiger

You many already be up on the Year of the Tiger releases by several brands. We previewed how Nike follows the theme with a pair of Cortezes and kids Dunk Low. It seems that any youngin’, no matter what size, can join in to be feisty cats. Featuring a black upper with a tiger print textile (quality seemingly better than some other novelty designs) and a mustard color for the Swoosh and on the tongue, Nike Harajuku has the Dunks available in grade school, pre-school and toddler sizes. Let’s see if any shops in the US pop up with stock- and hopefully we might see pics of them in crib sizes.
Nike Air Structure Triax ‘91 – Black – Orange – Pink – Available on eBay

Since the return of the Nike Air Structure Triax ‘91 in the original Black/Infrared/Blue colourway, we’ve seen a number of color combos hit the stores; the edgy design and numerous layers give the Triax ‘91 a great opportunity to use contrasting colors and different textures. Here’s a look at a Black/Orange/Pink colourway that takes advantage of that characteristic. The innermost layer also has a stitched polka-dot like pattern as well, and this combination of colors and textiles surely follows the Triax trend of neon colors and varying materials.
LIVESTRONG x Futura x Nike Dunk High – FLOM – Look-See Samples

Lance Armstrong is set to give the Tour de France another go this summer, and this sample makes us more than a little curious about what that will mean for Nike Sportswear. It’s Futura’s unmistakable FLOM underlay plus the white and yellow LIVESTRONG alternate palette. If you were going to describe these to your boys, you might say they look like LIVESTRONG ‘homes’, whereas last year was the ‘away’ version. This look-see sample will probably never make it to production and unfortunately the bidding has ended at $790 for these on ebay.
Women’s Nike Air Force 1 Low LE Valentine’s Day 2010

Although we recently showed you a Nike Air Force 1 low prepared for the women and covered completely in red leather, another pair has apparently been designed for the day of lovers. The Nike Air Force 1 low LE pictured here resembles the Nike Dunk high also prepared for the holiday, which was among the first Valentine’s Day Nike sneakers we caught glimpses of. This classic Nike silhouette comes with a red canvas upper that is covered in white dots. The Nike swoosh and midsole come completely in white, while the entire sneaker sits atop an ice (transluscent) outsole. As the title suggests, this pair of women’s sneakers will be a limited edition release; however, for those who can’t wait for a stateside release, certain Nike online retailers are able now to hook you up early and make SURE you’re gift for that special someone is purchased with enough time to avoid rushing
Nike Zoom SB Bruin “Green Leaf”

Nike recently released a pair of the Zoom SB Bruin in an obsidian/pink colorway as part of its January 2010 collection. Fans of the Nike Zoom SB Bruin like its simplistic design on which several different color schemes can be easily experimented with and applied. Well, pictured here is a perfect example of that- the “Green Leaf” Nike Zoom SB Bruin. It takes its name from the suede green upper that makes up most of the shoe. White accents come by way of the Nike swoosh and all-white sole. While a stateside shop release is yet to be announced, these can already be purchased from at least one well-known Nike online retailer today.
Reebok Re-Up Select

Reebok is certainly still focusing a part of the team’s efforts on the customary tasks such as equipping basketball players with just the right footwear for him/herself. We’ve seen recent releases like the Twilight Zone Pump and Pump AXT+, which exist as evidence of this practice. But Reebok is also, quite apparently, looking to try its luck with other revolutionary ideas. The Reebok Re-Up Select is a low-top sneaker that comes with an attachable/removable ankle cover, which not only changes the look of your sneaker, but also changes how much foot support/warmth you walk around with.
Nike Air Zoom Toki Medium Grey/Blue Sapphire-White

Last year, we saw the Nike Air Zoom Toki’s popularity grow rather quickly. Two big reasons for this development were the silhouette’s sleek, slightly less casual look and the colorways it was released in. In mid-December we saw a pair in obsidian/pink that was looked favorably upon. Now we’d like to show you high resolution images of a new colorway, coming this time in smooth, medium grey suede/sapphire blue-white. Check out different angles of this sneaker after the jump, and let us know if this is a good continuation into the new decade for the Nike Air Zoom Toki.
Nike Air Flightposite II LE Black/Black Release Information

Over four months ago we relayed the news that Nike would be retroing the Air Flightposite II LE- remembered more fondly by most OG sneakerheads as the Nike Air Flightposite KG that Kevin Garnett made so famous. These will, in fact, be releasing later this month- Saturday January 16th, to be exact. It will be available for purchase from select Nike retailers including Foot Locker and House of Hoops locations nationwide.
Supra Skytop “Heartbreaker” Valentine’s Day 2010

Yesterday we reported on two pairs of the Supra Skytop 2 gearing up for what is a rumored mid-January release. Now, the Supra brand is joining in the Valentine’s Day celebration plans, preparing the Supra Skytop pictured here for the lovers’ day. This Supra Skytop comes in a completely red canvas upper, with an all-white sole and a keychain where two pieces of a broken heart hang from. This pair of the Supra Skytop is schedule to hit Factory 413 accounts just before the Valentine’s Day date of February 14, 2010. So far, would you say this is the best sneaker out of the ones we have seen designed for Valentine’s Day 2010?

Vans Rowley x Sex Pistols

Vans has created a collaboration pack with the Sex Pistols on their Rowley skate shoe. The pack features two shoes—the colors used in the designs are from the original UK and US versions of the album cover art of “Never Mind The Bollocks”, originally released in 1977. This one-time, limited edition release is capped off with two t-shirts. Look out for a release Spring 2010.
