Nike Pepper Low – Black

Though the two colorways we showed you a couple weeks back are still in limbo, Nike’s new pared-down summer sneaker, the Pepper Low, has just landed at NSW in a simple black and white color up. The smooth leather upper is mated to a vulcanized rubber sole with a black-on-black Swoosh and white lacing. Now available at 21 Mercer in NYC.

Reebok Court Victory Pump “Bring Back Pack” Spring/Summer 2010

With all the questionable things that Reebok tends to do to their classics, mostly as part of a collaboration, there is simply nothing better than some classics. As part of the Court Victory Pump “Bring Back Pack”, Reebok presents exactly that in overall 4 colorways. The pack will released beginning of April at mita sneakers.

Walking on Water Dunk lows

These Dunks were inspired by a friends desire to portray his faith on his shoes. He came to us with the idea to depict one of the greatest acts of faith on his feet, which is Peter walking on water in the Bible. We loved the concept and thought to ourselves, “Why not make our friend, walk on water himself?” So that is exactly what we did. By putting water on the bottom of his shoes we made sure that wherever he goes he is walking on water. Giving new meaning to the phrase, Step Clean!.

Silvano – Fly High Pigeon

Florida’s newly opened Project 51 is the brainchild of Courtney Cox. Along with the super sweet retail space the guy also has whipped up his own exclusive pigeon themed shoes.
The Slivano is a pretty clean take on Jeff Staple’s signature shoe that borrows the color sheet from his collaboration. A palette of various greys and white are all mixed up with a dash of orange and some pigeon embroidery to make a cool looking high top skate shoe. These are only available at Project 51 in Coconut Grove.

Clarks Originals Lugger

A pair of shoes may not be able to change your life, but it can definitely make you relaxed and comfortable. Lugger, a allows you to retrieve a long absence, comfort shoes, was born in the 80's. There Wallabee's shadow, but more comfort, makes it her favorite Yau Kar, simple design make it a classic.

Air Jordan 2010 Black/Dark Charcoal

We reported on what we thought was black/flint grey 2010’s, but we have be informed that it’s black/charcoal grey. Aside from the colorway, we also found out that this colorway will hit Jordan Brand accounts in June for $170. If you own the grey or black cement Jordan socks, you might break a neck or two with this colorway.

Air Jordan 1 AJKO – OG Colorways | Release Reminder

The Air Jordan 1 AJKO is finally arriving twenty-five years after its original release. While some retailers both brick-and-mortar and online have made these available early, the AJKO will officially drop tomorrow and should be available with easy access at Jordan retailers. Some have lamented the pre-yellowed vintage treamtment given to the AJKO but a little elbow grease in the form of a rubdown with some warm water and soap should get that yellowing right off. With the release of the three 25th Anniversary Air Jordan Retros, the last weekend of March is definitely leaving on a high note.

Nike Zoom Kobe V iD – Sneaker News Edition

The Nike Zoom Kobe V iD was officially launched last December, giving Kobe fans the opportunity to mock up their own user-specific colorways and themes. During the Kobe V iD Launch, Sneaker News was given the opportunity to experiment with the revolutionary customization process, and we chose two different paths to test out the broad range of the Kobe V iD capabilities.

For the first pair, we wanted to emphasize the pure design and technology of the Kobe V, spurning the intricate graphics and metallic colorways for that of a simplistic design emphasizing the Flywire and overall silhouette. Combined with the purple laces and inner lining, the result was a great colorway that Kobe himself could be wearing on the court. For our second experiment, we had a little fun; a lustrous metallic silver was the go-to color and one of the detailed patterns were used on the black center and toe panels. You can even notice the black-on-black speckling on the midsole.

As you can see, the possibilities are truly endless; a plethora of colors, textures, and graphics can be used to your satisfaction, but we wanted to show you what Sneaker News’ ideal Zoom Kobe V looked like.

Vans Vault Opening Day Collection – Red Sox + White Sox

The term “Off The Wall” is subject to different reactions depending on who hears it. One thinks Vans and the skater-shoe footwear line, others think a stand-up double. Vans and baseball don’t have an immediate connection but Vans Vault has produced the Opening Day Collection featuring two of the oldest baseball franchises in history – the Red Sox and White Sox. Each pair (Vans Authentic for the Red Sox, Vans Chukka LX for the White Sox) comes accompanied with a limited edition MLB Authentic Jersey and will be available in super-limited quantity (just 12 pairs and jerseys each). On April 5th at 11 AM, hit up Bodega if you’re a citizen of Red Sox Nation or St. Alfred if you root for Obama’s hometown team.

Fila T-1 Mid + Classic Apparel

Don’t look now, but Fila has quietly been making a nice comeback as of late with re-issues of some of their classic models from the good old days. The latest offering from Fila is the T-1 Mid, a higher cut version of the timeless Classic Tennis model. This installment of the shoe sports a fresh cream-colored upper with navy and red accents and an Italian flag tongue tab attached below the embroidered Fila label. In addition to the T-1 Mid, Fila has also just released some vintage-inspired jackets and sweatsuits that definitely bring back that classic Fila nostalgia from the 80’s.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII x Air Penny 1 – Heroes Pack – New Images

The peak of Penny Hardaway’s career might have been the 1996 NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Not only did his Orlando Magic dispatch the recently returned Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls, but MJ actually rocked a pair of Penny’s first signature shoe, the Air Flight One during one of the Conference Finals games! The AFOne is Penny’s ‘lost’ shoe, and the Air Penny 1 that released the following year marks the start of one of the most successful signature lines in Swoosh history.

Fitting then to see that both Penny and Michael’s shoes from the 1995-96 season will be commemorated in the upcoming Nike Air Max LeBron VII Heroes Pack. The Penny 1-inspired AML7s pictured above are faithful to the orignals thanks to squiggly lines on the side panel Swooshes, marbled suede on the mudguard and a perfect colorway. Take a look at more pictures after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these, the Deion Sanders joints, and of course, the Air Jordan XI-inspired pair.

Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar QS – Dinosaur Jr. – Available

It didn’t take too long for Nike SB newcomer Omar Salazar to have a special colorway of his signature shoe. Dinosaur Jr. – the iconic metal rock band led by J. Mascis and his signature Fender Jazzmaster – was the inspiration behind the surprising Nike SB Dunk High that released back in 2007, and again serves as the muse for this version of the Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar. Green and purple are common themes for J. Mascis’ album artwork, and combined with Salazar’s affinity for the intergalactic, this latest colorway will definitely give you a spike in visual stimulation.

Futura x Nike Air Force 1 – NY Yankees Pack | Available

Just in time for the start of another long season, the Futura x Nike Air Force 1 Yankees Pack is ready to hit retail. These aren’t exactly your typical Mickey Mantle material, as Futura’s Yankee characters are more like Never, Never Land than anybody in Brooklyn, and the color combinations are curious as well. With the silver-on-white hightops, it’s not too much of a stretch, but purple soles on the metallic silver AF1 lows is a little Dinosaur Jr.-like and requires you use your imagination. But that’s what Futura’s all about, so if you like his style, these are right over the heart of the plate for you.

sak x Converse First String – Chuck Taylor All Star

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star is about as old school as it gets, with this pair akin to a pterodactyl kindergarten. The Converse x sak collection goes to show that yesterday’s standards become today’s premiums, as Ryusaku Hiruma turns his handcrafted Italian shoemaking magic to the longest enduring icon of athletic shoes. You can expect Jack Purcells, One Star 1974s and Star Techs on the way, all of which were built by hand. There are a mere 64 pairs of each color available worldwide, so the $600-$700 price range for this line doesn’t mean they won’t sell out immediately. For stateside sneakerheads, you can get them in the US exclusively at Opening Ceremony and Concepts. Check out a bunch more photos and video of Hiruma at work, all after the jump

Nike Air Diamond Turf – White – Black – Red + Black- Purple | Fall 2010

Deion Sanders was another big-name two-sport athlete that Nike endorsed in the 90s; Sanders possessed everything necessary for an athlete to become a successful market icon. The Nike Air Diamond Turf was easily one of the best of the 90s, with the sleek design and domineering velcro strap, and the 2004 re-release was a big thumbs up for fans of Turf trainers. 2010 will see another re-release of the OG colorway of the Turf Trainer, as we saw sample pics in our Fall 2010 Turf Trainer Preview. With the 49ers colorway already covered, we also now get a look at the OG black and purple colorway with sheer gold material that emanates the Baltimore Ravens color scheme to a tee. Look forward for these to release in Fall 2010.

Nike Air Carnivore Retro – White – Varsity Red – Black | Summer 2010

We’ve known about the Nike Air Carnivore Retro for over six months now, but every preview thus far has depicted the Grape-y joints. This ‘other’ colorway might have you thinking of the upcoming Air Diamond Turf Retros, given their 49ers-esque palette and the wide instep strap. But the Carnivore is like none other thanks to its ankle shroud, which curiously looks an awful lot like Kobe Bryant’s logo, but was designed a dozen years earlier. These aren’t attached to a particular athlete, but they’ll likely show up on tons of sneakerhead feet when they touch down in Summer 2010.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII x Air Jordan XI – Heroes Pack – Sample

The similarity between the patent leather mudguards on the Nike Air Max LeBron VII and Air Jordan XI has been obvious from the start. With LeBron’s postseason sneakers eschewing the Max Air visible unit in favor of a embedded cushion and adding a carbon fiber arch support furthers the similarities, but nobody would have expected this. Here’s an AML7 that’s seen its sole swapped out for one with AJ11-like colored sections, and while it lacks the carbon fiber plate, these add big round laces and a tongue loop that are unmistakably ‘Eleven’. Whether these are possibly a part of the Heroes Pack or if they’ll even hit retail remains unclear, so stick with Sneaker News for updates.

Nike Aina Chukka – Stone – Swan @ 21 Mercer

The new Nike Aina Chukka is the natural progression from the Zoom Toki Mid, itself a child born of Blazers and Sabakus. Aina is the next step, with minimal branding and a look that exemplifies the lifestyle sneaker movement. The pair pictured above is quite the solid debut, its putty grey suede upper providing the perfect neutral punctuation for your best fits. Nike Sportswear retailers across the country are getting these in stock, and if you happen to be in NYC, grab yours from 21 Mercer.

Nike Dunk Hi SB “Skunk”

An interesting new Nike Dunk Hi SB has surfaced. The “Skunk” Dunk comes with different green tones on the upper and a purple Swoosh. Furthermore the upper material has an interesting effect, and looks to be imitating grass, and a stash pocket has been placed on the inner side of the tongue. A skunk is on the inner sole of the sneaker, revealing the inspiration of the sneaker. So far no word on the release of the sneaker, but we will keep you posted.

Bodega x Converse Poorman Weapon

Bodega and Converse have once again joined forces – this time to re-imagine the Poorman Weapon as a sophisticated beast yet unseen by the world. Transforming the original silhouette into a super high-top that can be worn rolled down, the focus of this project was to achieve harmony between the chosen materials. An extra high refined waxed canvas upper is paired with a supple deerskin lining to make this Poorman’s Weapon seem not quite so poor.

The natural properties of deerskin leather shine with its extremely high strength and resistance to abrasion. Generally used for motorcycle gloves, deerskin’s unique fiber structure keeps you cool at high noon and warm as night falls. The charcoal colorway keeps this forward thinking shoe toned down, while a gusseted tongue and waxed laces combined with the leather’s inherent water repellent qualities keep it an all weather shoe.

This shoe is being released Saturday March 13 at Bodega and will come in a custom ballistic nylon case lined with shearling. An etched flask will be included for those over 21 years of age. This pack retails for $120, is limited to 100 sets and contains all the elements necessary for surviving the long winter and wet spring.

Take a leap for more detailed images of the sneaker.
