adidas x Nom De Guerre Forum Mid

Although Dwight Howard’s Commander LT’s have stolen most of the attention surrounding adidas as of late, the brand is always attempting to re-invent itself and progress. In order to do that with their Forum Mid, adidas teamed up with fashion gurus from Nom De Guerre- the result being this stylish re-invention. This pair boasts waxed laces, white straps, and a zippered covering over the tongue. This collaboration most definitely brought about a newer, more stylish look to an adidas classic. What do you think of the execution? Perhaps harder to find and longer until these become available at adidas retailers, you can try your luck online at places like Extra Butter.

Nike Air Force 1 Black/White-Gum

With news of the “Tennis Canvas,” something other than the Nitro Microphone Underground pair is garnering some of the Air Force 1 news. Here’s some more. In a rather classic and low-key black/white colorway, this Air Force 1 Mid is made of leather and nubuck materials, and is topped off with what sneakerheads call a bubble gum bottom (sole). Would you agree that this pair proves that simple doesn’t always result in something you can easily pass up on? Try and find these online today if you’re feeling them.

The Wu-Tang Clan x Dekline “Killerbee”

Arguably the Hip-Hop group with the most product collaborations over the years, The Wu-Tang Clan’s latest team-up comes together with skate shoe compaony Dekline. The shoes themselves feature the iconic usages of black and yellow with branding on the tongue, lacelock and heels. Available at Millennium Shoes’ various locations with a suggested retail price of $69.99 USD.

DQM x Nike Dunk High Black Hyperstrike

As you may recall, we featured the Complex Mag “Top 100 Sneakers of the 2000s” article last week. Apparently, somewhere within that list they made mention of a never-before-seen Hyperstrike version of the DQM Nike Dunk Highs. Originally released in September 2008, the sneakers featured a perforated suede upper in three tonal colorways. Today, DQM offers a first ever look into the Hyperstrike version — all black everything, limited to 24 pairs, friends and family only. Never released. Bummer, ’cause these are amazing.

After giving you a first teaser look yesterday, we show you today some more views of the new Nike “Long Beach” Big Nike High. The sneaker comes in a white/black/purple colorway with patent leather and perforated leather details. The Long Beach logo is placed on the tongue and also replaces the otherwise dominant Nike logo on the heel. The shoe is part of a Nike NSW City Pack and was designed by Nike’s Marc Dolce after visiting Proper. A matching LBC Lockup logo New Era cap was also produced. Proper will release the sneaker tomorrow, Saturday, September 26th, 2009.

adidas Originals by Originals Jeremy Scott Spring/Summer 2010 JS Wings Sneaker

We just got back from the Jeremy Scott Spring/Summer 2010 fashion show in London. The collection had a Flinstones theme, reflected in most patterns and almost all clothing. We spotted an upcoming colorway of the JS Wings sneaker, out of the adidas Originals by Originals Jeremy Scott collection. The sneaker features a reflective multicolor upper, making for an overall interesting effect. Last time we spotted the Mickey Mouse trainers and they ended up not being released. We will have to wait and see what happens with these.

Parra x Nike Air Maxim 1 – October 2009

Parra has enjoyed a year full of sneaker collaborations. What looks to be the final, a Nike Air Maxim 1 in black with a doubly-speckled midsole will drop with some bonuses. His work for Vans and Converse was just sneakers but the Nike collabo adds two tee shirt designs. We know that the tongue tag reads ‘Loners’ and it looks like that theme extends onto the grey handwritten shirt. As for the burgundy graphic tee, who knows what he’s trying to get across there, but the colours are awesome as always. Overdope reports an October 1st release in Taiwan so stick with Sneaker News for updates on a stateside release. In the meantime, click the jump below for an up-close video.

Air Jordan Blas̩ Mid РDark Cinder + Black РAvailable

We’ve already seen a number of new Jordan Brand releases like the L’Style One and the Campus Chukka that venture away from the performance category for more of a lifestyle aesthetic. The Blasé Mid offers something a little sportier, but still with some versatile style applications. Over the weekend, we gave you a heads up that the Black/Anthracite version has begun to hit select retailers, and now the Dark Cinder/Khaki/White pair has arrived as well. Unlike the Black pair that uses a rich leather upper, the Dark Cinder version opts for suede instead with additional sections covered by a corduroy-like material. If you’re feeling the stylish alternative provided by the Blasé Mid, both colorways are available now at FinishLine.

Supra Bullet – Mike ‘Lizard King’ Plumb Signature Model

It’s interesting with Supra signature models: it seems like the crazier looking their riders, the tamer the look for their sneaker line. Take for example the comparison of Terry Kennedy and Antuwan Dixon. Both are handsome young men (we suppose), but Antuwan has TK beat in the ink department hands down. But take a look at Dixon’s shoe: nondescript except for his namesake embroidery, whereas the TK Society has an instant-classic design.

The analogy extends in a comparison between Supra’s main man Chad Muska and the newest recruit, Mike ‘Lizard King’ Plumb. His eyes are crazy enough on their own, but apparently he’s also friends with the devil, so using Supra’s formula, that equals a simple lowtop skate show with a patent leather contrast stripe on the side panel. Take a look at more shots and video after the jump.

adidas Y-3 Fall 2009 Footwear Collection

It’s been going strong for a couple of years now and Yohji Yamamoto’s Y-3 luxury line for adidas has just dropped a large collection for fall. All of the kicks in this collection keep Yamamoto’s sleek aesthetic, some taking it to another level with what looks to be one-piece patent leather construction (the seams seem to be pressed in). Quite alot to offer here, so take a look at all the photos after the jump then cop these and a few other models from the Y-3 eStore.

Air Jordan Spizike Boot – Black/Yellow

How many of you have traded in your Timbs and Nike Boots for the recently released Air Jordan Spizike Boots? If your a fan of the Spizike turned winter boot check out this colorway which has arrived at Jordan Brand retailers across the pond such as WellGosh. The winterized Spizike sports an entire black base with a speckled toe panel and heel panel. Accents of yellow are nicely placed on the inner lining, mid-sole stitching and on the heel section of the mid-sole which uses a gradient design that goes from black to yellow.

Click here to check out a few more detailed photos of the Air Jordan Spizike Boot in Black/Yellow.

Nike Dunk Low (GS) ‘R.I.P.’

Nike is defiantly coming strong this year when it comes to Halloween themed sneakers. Unfortunately, like many previous years, theres more releases produced strictly for the kids, such as the Nike Dunk Low ‘R.I.P.’ shown here.

The Nike Dunk Low ‘R.I.P.’ features a predominantly black design with a mixture of black suede and black leather. On the outer side of the upper theres various tombstones in grey with an orange outline to em. One of the tombstones appears a bit brighter then the others and includes R.I.P. printed across it. Besides for the glow around the tombstones accents of orange also appear on the outsole, Nike branding on the heel tab and on the tongue tag which displays a skull face with criss-crossing bones behind it.We dont have pictures of it but the Dunks due include the use of glow-in-the-dark features. We just arent sure what actually glows. Something leads us to believe its the tombstones though.

If your interested you can get the Nike Dunk Low ‘R.I.P’ now in kids sizes only at FinishLine.

Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2009 Collection

In mid-August, we gave you a preview of the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2009 Collection by first showing you the Air Jordan 6 Retro which was created by a Doernbecher Hospital patient named Jordan. Many of you were on the fence about purchasing that sneaker; however, it is really not about you liking them or not; it was created to raise revenue for the aforementioned hospital. Likewise, the rest of these sneakers, which make up the entire Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2009 Collection, will be sold in attempt to aid the hospital in finances.

Besides the Air Jordan 6 Retro, the kids applied their vivid, multi-colored designs to the Air Force 1, the Dunk High, the Air Max Zenyth, the P-Rod III and the Shoz NZ. This one-of-a-kind collection will be available at multiple Niketown locations and the Nikestore some time in November. Click here to view the collection in its entirety plus each sneaker’s respective designer.

MACKDADDY | Mack Boyz Shoes Black and Red

Drawing inspiration from a certain sneaker silhouette or even taking the complete sneaker to create something new with its design is nothing new anymore. We all know the story of examples like the Bapestas, ALIFE Everybody Hi’s, …

Now a new sneaker from MACKDADDY has released. After taking a first look at it, it is kind of obvious that inspiration in terms of design was drawn from Air Jordan III (3)’s. Proportions may vary, but for the main part one can tell that this must have been the influental sneaker!

The MACKDADDY Mack Boyz Shoe comes in two different synthetics upper colorways beeing black and red. On the tongue the a “M” with a Skate banner is embossed.

They are availble at select retailers that hold MACKDADDY products like arkwax (JP)

Read on for more detailed images of both colorways!

Celebrity Kicks: Jay-Z & Friends At MSG 9.11.09

If you missed the Jay concert that went down on 9/11, not only did you miss a great show, but you missed the sneaker showcase that was going on, on stage. Hov & Kanye stick with the theme of “all Black everything” with Jay-Z being spotted in some black stapped high tops and Kanye wearing the blacked out version of his Signature Louie Vutton Sneaker. It looks like Diddy didnt get the “all black” memo because he showed up in a pair Of Air Trainer TWs, they still looked fresh tho.

Converse Chuck Taylor Felt Pack

Chuck Taylor’s are no stranger when it comes to being remixed. Their uppers have seen a little bit of everything and some if it connects while other applications don’t so in an effort to be felt they they go for a literal interpretation. Okay, corny jokes aside the felt upper All Stars come in two shades, a darker grey and a tan with golden eyelets, color coordinated logo plates and even felt toe caps. Braided laces tie this design together nicely.

Converse PRODUCT (RED) x Lupe Fiasco

Another Chuck Taylor for rapper Lupe Fiasco has been made available in an all-White cotton canvas upper with silk-screened Black Times Roman writings. The writings talk about Fiasco’s political opinions. It has a White midsole with hand-written phrase, and a translucent outsole with details. Red eyelets mark that the sneaker is a PRODUCT (RED) model.

Nike Auto Force 180 Black-Red/White

Most of the hype surrounding the Nike Auto Force 180 comes from the anticipated “New York City” pair. However, another super clean colorway of the Auto Force 180 has recently dropped, which is also sure to catch its fair share of attention. The pair pictured here comes in a predominantly black upper made up of both leather and mesh materials. Red and white accents complete this shoe, which sits atop a completely white sole. What do you guys think of this colorup? Is it worth the almost $90 price tag?

Almost a month ago the pictured Nike SB Blazer “Sub-Pop” became available early, thus costing you perhaps more than you were willing to spend. However, it is now available at a more affordable going rate of $90. In case you didn’t know, this shoe pays homage to the early 90’s Sub-Pop records with the Sub-Pop logo on the heel tab. What do you guys think about this blazer? How’s it stand up to another recent Nike SB Blazer that released in celebration of something- the “Debacle?”

Hello Kitty fans rejoice! To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Sanrio’s very own Hello Kitty, HK has teamed up with Reebok to pop champagne in style. The two brands created the Hello Kitty x Reebok Freestyle Hi INTL-LUX Kitty in two sweet colorways: white and black. Both shoes feature leather uppers which rock allover Hello Kitty designs. Jordan Blase Mid – Black / Anthracite

To continue the Jordan Brand lifestyle run, JB has released the Jordan Blase Mid in a clean black/anthracite colorway. JB is definitely utilizing black in its colorways just as it did for the Jordan L’Style One. The Jordan Blase Mid features a black leather upper with a black design pattern. The upper also sports a leather strap where the Jordan logo is placed. The upper sits atop a black sole similar to a Dunk sole, making this a very dark yet clean shoe. adidas Samba Fixed Gear Pack

The Crooked C-Law offers a look into one of his latest projects with adidas. Adding an adi-twist to the now-prevalent fixie sneaker market, the indoor-soccer-staple-Samba had the midsole slimmed down, the toebox reinforced, and the tongue/insole plastered with bike-oriented graphics. The colorways are quite nice as well. A release date is yet to be announced, but we assume distribution will be fairly generous on these.

Nike Dunk Hi Supreme East

Amongst some of Nike’s latest releases are their East version of the Dunk Hi Supreme from the brand’s East vs. West Pack. The kicks take obvious inspiration from Gucci, with a ostrich-infused leather design boasting forest green, red, and black uppers atop white midsoles and gum bottoms. A release is now underway at most Nike Sportswear retailers, including Proper.

Nike Air Flight Condor High SI – Grey/Brown/Volt

Since the release of the Nike Air Flight Condor High i have so far added a total of three different colorways to my collection and with the release of this latest colorup i may have to make some space for a fourth. The latest version of the Flight Condor High SI carries an eye catching design using colors such as grey, brown and volt on an upper constructed from numerous materials. If the hints of volt arent enough to lighten things up for ya Nike threw in a slight bit on university blue on the lace loops. Adding a little extra to the design is a heel panel and a small strip around the toe making use of Jordans signature elephant print in brown.

During the exhibit Michael Lau will showcase various limited edition toy figures made in collaboration with companies such as Slamxhype, The Hundreds and De La Barracuda.

On the final day of the exhibition Michael Lau will showcase his latest collaboration with Nike SB on Stefan Janoski. Michael is known to do a lot of work with wooden toys, tons of which will be on display at ‘Gardener Tenth’ therefore he decided to design the Nike SB Stefan Janoski using a wood grain pattern. The date 9-29-09, which is the date in which the exhibition starts is laser etched into the outer heel of the left sneaker while the outer heel of the right sneaker includes the use of some sort of logo. If you recall Michael Lau designed a pair of Nike SB Dunk Lows a few years ago using the same wood grain styling.
