Sigg Jones vs. The Magic Dunk

Sigg Jones is an upcoming animated feature created by three French film students. It’s an action packed tale that follows the story of a star ultimate fighter and his agent. What makes Sigg Jones sneaker relevant is that its creators are sneakerheads who have chosen to weave their love of kicks into the story and imagery. In this clip, you can see a pair of Dunk Lows transform into some incredible “Magic Dunks” and help the agent fend off Sigg in an amazing pulse-pounding fight sequence. In addition to the Dunks, there are also some nods to Puma, Reebok and adidas thrown in as well. You can watch the Sigg Jones sneak peek after the jump and take a nice look at some of the sneaker images from the movie.

Air Jordan X - Chicago Bulls - White - Black - True Red - March 2010

Last night, we brought you news on the return of one of the all-time great Air Jordan colorways, and while these might not quite have the legendary status of the Infrared VI, they will still be a welcome addition to a lot of collections next year. Strangely, the Air Jordan X is a somewhat underappreciated model, despite its sleek silhouette, but anytime an OG colorway is Retroed with little to no changes, there can’t be much to complain about. This version of the Air Jordan X was originally released in 1995 and sports an unmistakable Bulls color scheme courtesy of a White upper with Black and True Red accents. Specific details on these are still unknown, but the word is that they’ll be hitting stores next March. We’ll be sure to keep you posted, and for now, you can check out some more pics after the jump.

Custom Kicks - Lucky Supreme Nike Dunk Highs

Inspired by the Lucky Dunks and the Supreme Dunks [both some of my favorite releases of all time], Soulful Apparel recreated the two shoes that most of us have been lusting after since 2003. Using the traditional gold stars and classic Supreme lace locks, and mixing it with the coloring of the Lucky dunks, these came out perfect. It could easily be a re-release of the Supreme Dunk High in a different colorway…I guess we’ll all have to wait and see.

Kanye West x Louis Vuitton Footwear | Release Date

Now that the Air Yeezy release is behind us, we now look to the Louis Vuitton collaborative kicks that Kanye West designed from the sole up.

As we previewed over the weekend, the Don, Jasper and Mr. Hudson will all release tomorrow, the 1st of July 2009. If you want a pair, go to the nearest Louis Vuitton shop to pick them up. Being Louis Vuitton, you have to spend a minimum of $870 to pick one up.

Nike Air Max 90 “Gold Splatter”

Here is another Nike Air Max 90 that is extremely limited with no public release expected. These are in fact said to be a 1 of 1 production. The kicks come in a upper with a mix of snake skin, croc and patent leather in a metallic gold colorway with a splatter look.

Air Jordan 60+ GS | Black / Varsity Red

The concept behind the Air Jordan 60+, is the fusion of the Air Jordan sneakers worn by Jordan during games in which he put up 60 or more points. The kicks that Jordan wore include the Air Jordan II, V, and VII.

Nike 112 Pack “Family Reunion”

Here is a first look at the Nike 112 Family Reunion Pack, which features the 112 Edition of the Hyperdunk, 112 Edition of the Air Force 25 Low and also an Air Trainer 1. Check out the glow in the dark segments on these. There’s no word on the release of these, but let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Nike Air Classic BW - Black - Dragon Red - Cement Safari

With Safari print all over the place of late, it’s nice to have a toned down pair like this to balance out some of the crazier designs. The Nike Air Classic BW appears above in a cement grey mix of nylon and nubuck. The tonal Swoosh plus black laces and rear midsole offer contrasting notes, but the real star of this shoe is the tongue. Just a touch of red on the Swoosh and lining draw your eyes to the tonal grey Safari print. These are a versatile look sure to last you beyond this summer, but go ahead and grab em while they’re still hot, from Size?

Nike Womens Dunk Hi – Fall 2009 Release

We’ve been showing the guys what Nike’s dropping this Fall, so it’s only right that the ladies get the same treatment. Here we have a look at a Dunk Hi that will drop exclusively for women during Fall. A circle tie-dye print is featured along the back/center panel. Pure white canvas/leather grace the uppers and sits on a grey midsole. Ladies you can expect to see these Dunks in stores a couple months down the line.

Mysterious Al x Adidas Superstar Vulc

Mysterious Al teams up with Adidas for this morbidly fantastic drop. Choosing to take on the ever popular Superstar Vulc the illustrator gives the shoes a playfully dark makeover including zombie heel tabs, monsterous all overprint lining and cutout canvas mummy head tongues. The navy canvas upper is given soft yellow accents and ghoulishly green tipped laces. Look for these to drop on July 3rd.

Nike Zoom LeBron VI (6) Low - Cool Grey Reptile Print

There’s alot of talk about next year’s Air Max-equipped signature for LeBron James, but ‘The Six’ is still going strong. Above, we see the Nike Zoom LeBron VI (6) Low in one of its finest editions. These feature a tonal grey construction with a few white touches, but they’re anything but bland. Nike’s new Safari-like reptile printed leather frames the grey nubuck side panels and toe. A purple stitch secures the Swooshes, a colour that carries over to the tongue, where it’s joined by yellow and electric blue. All of that atop a speckled midsole makes for a satisfying look, and one that you’ll see more of as we learn more of its release.

swagger x Nike Sportswear Terminator High Supreme - New Images

A few days back, we gave you another look at the extremely creative upcoming swagger x Nike Sportswear Terminator High Supreme collaboration and now we have some more pics of this highly anticipated release. As previously reported, this is not a two-pack, but one pair of sneakers with one solid colored shoe on each foot. The left foot is brown (chocolate) and the right is light green (mint). Both feature tonal snakeskin uppers with an extra high tongue and a huge swagger lacelock that covers nearly the entire lace section. These are expected to drop in July so we’ll hit you with the exact release info once it has been confirmed. Keep reading after the jump for some more pics of the swagger Terminator High

Nike Basketball x Transformers II Pack - Zoom Sharkalaid - Soundwave

The second pair of Nike Basketball shoes from it’s collaboration with Hasbro’s Transformers II movie is this Nike Zoom Sharkalaid Supreme, inspired by Soundwave. The Nike Basketball x Transformers II Pack features three different shoes inspired by three different Transformers, the first being the Nike Zoom FP (Fun Police) which is inspired by Bumblebee, the second being this one, and the last a Nike Zoom Flight Club inspired by Megatron. This Zoom Sharkalaid Supreme also features a Transformers shoebox with Soundwave’s graphics and features printed on the outside of it as well as a window to see the Sharkalid’s. Look for these along with the two other pairs to drop in the upcoming weeks exclusively at the Footlocker House of Hoops in the US and at select Nike Basketball accounts worldwide.

Nike Basketball x Transformers II Pack - Zoom FP (Fun Police) - Bumblebee

Nike Basketball has collaborated with Hasbro’s Transformers II movie to release a pack of three shoes that will feature various logos from the Transformers. The first shoe from the pack is inspired by Bumblebee, the Yellow Transformer who protects Sam Witwicky in the new Transformers II: Revenge of the Fallen movie. The best part about this Nike Basketball x Transformers II Pack is that not only do the shoe’s come with various Transformers logos on them but the shoeboxes that the shoe’s come in. The shoe boxes were designed to look similar to the boxes that the Hasbro Transformers toys come in. Each box features images of the Transformer the shoe was inspired by as well as some of the Transformer’s features. Look for the Nike Basketball x Transformers II Pack to hit the Footlocker House of Hoops in the upcoming weeks.

Nike Air Zoom Brave III Preview

With all the hoopla surrounding the Hyperdunk and its offspring, the Hyperize and Hypermax, some other Nike Basketball models tend to get lost in the mix. The Zoom Air Brave III is an interesting new offering that warrants a closer look. While it doesn’t appear to be based on an older model, the shoe definitely seems to have a late 90’s look, which for some will be vey welcome. Aside from the retro look, the shoe features some new technology like Zoom Air and Lunar materials. For starters, the Air Zoom Brave III will be available in three colorways, all using a white base with different accent colors. These will be dropping a later this year, so we’ll keep you in the loop on the release info.

Nike Zoom LeBron VI Low - White - Baltic Blue - Black

Back in April, we showed you a preview of this fresh Zoom LeBron VI Low colorway and now they are finally starting to hit stores. The shoe uses the same color combo as the recently released Baltic Blue Zoom Soldier III, but this model has a much more casual feel to it. At a quick glance, these kicks bear a very close resemblance to the OG Air Max 93 colorway, which may be coincidental, but it definitely doesn’t hurt the cause. While this may technically be a basketball model, this version will surely look just as good as a street shoe as it does on the court. This Zoom LeBron VI Low has already dropped at select Nike retailers, so keep an eye out if you’ve been waiting for these.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star - Stencil Pack

Converse has just released the Chuck Taylor All Star ‘Stencil’ Pack, a three pack made up of two All Star Hi’s and a pair of Low’s. All three models in the Stencil Pack consist of an upper which is made to look as if the Converse logo has been spray painted onto the sneakers using a stencil. Adding to the design is an overspray effect and some paint drips made to look like somebody used just a little bit to much paint. There are two colorways to pick from so far, white/black/red and black/white/red with both of the highs available in either of the two color scheme and the lows in just the black/white/red colorway.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap ‘Elephant’ - White / Brown

Looking somewhat like a sidekick to the Air Jordan 1 Phat Low ‘Elephant’ which we showed you last Wednesday comes this Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap.

This version of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap makes use of the same Curry Elephant print used on the AJ1 Phat Low, however its only used on part of the upper as where the Phat Low used it throughout the whole upper. The curry elephant print is included on the heel panel and toe-box while the rest of the upper is made up of white leather. A brown Nike Swoosh is displayed across the side of the upper with brown also on the inner lining and midsole.

At this time no official release date is available for this Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap. Stay tuned for further details.

Nike Air Force 1 Premium QS - Jones Beach

The Air Force 1 Premium ‘Jones Beach’ pays homage to one of the east coasts most well known beaches. The upper features a sand-colored canvas on majority of the sneaker with a somewhat tonal design on the leather heel panel displaying what appears to be a wooden fence and seaweed, something which is notorious at Jones Beach and other beaches throughout the country. Accents of light blue are placed nicely through the sneakers, such as on the tongue tag which says Jones Beach with the Jones Beach Tower in the center and on the translucent outsole which has a blue tint to it to represent water. The insoles consist of a map displaying Long Island with’ Strong Island’ insignia printed on it and the icey blue outsole has a design of a wave crashing down on the shore. Finishing up the sneakers and the Jones Beach theme is the latitude and longitude of Jones Beach printed on the heel. Oh yea, theres also a pair of light blue laces for you swap in if you would like.

Air Jordan 6 (VI) Retro - Black / Varsity Red

In our Jordan Brand 2010 Preview, we showcased catalog scans of upcoming Air Jordans, including the highly sought after “Infrared” Air Jordan 6 (VI). Jordan Brand will be bringing back one of the most popular sneakers ever next year, but there will be two catches. The first is that varsity red will replace infrared accents, and the second catch is that the sneaker will come in suede rather than the original nubuck material. Other key aspects of this AJ 6 are the out-sole which appears to be white rather than a clear sole and the air bubble which is black rather than clear. Please be aware that this pair is only a sample, and we will surely keep you up to date as soon as any more information or pictures become available. The Air Jordan 6 (VI) Retro - Black/Varsity Red is scheduled to release in January 2010.

Supra Skytop ‘Moonwalker’ Heat Sensitive Customs

The passing of Michael Jackson a few days ago was truly an unfortunate event. The King of Pop inspired many and helped shape pop culture and make it what it is today. In his honor, and for the Sole Collector custom sneaker battle, Qustom Queen has put together these custom sneakers known as the Moonwalker Supra Skytops. Believe it or not though, the sneakers were designed way before the passing of Michael Jackson a few days ago on June 25th. What was once a sneaker honored to MJ is now a tribute to MJ and the memories and impressions he has left in the music industry.

Qustom Queen designed the Supra Skytop ‘Moonwalker’ customs with a colorway similar to the Moonwalker movie poster. First off silver was added on the heel panels of the sneakers to represent the fact that Michael changes to a car, then later to a robot in the 1988 Moonwalker movie. The black panels which were done up next have a very subtle galaxy theme going on, one so subtle that it may even be a little hard to notice at first. The side of the upper and across the tongue theres a rainbow design which was done with heat sensitive paints. The heat sensitive paint makes the rainbow design change colors, getting more brighter once the sneakers/paint heats up. The lace covers display a portrait of MJ’s face and is also done in heat sensitive paints. When the paint heats up Jackson’s face changes and becomes lighter. As Questom Queen puts it “they go from Thriller MJ to Moonwalker MJ.”

Carmelo Anthony wearing Air Jordan Fusion 4

Dub Magazine recently shot this video of Jordan Brand athlete Carmelo Anthony wearing an upcoming colorway of the Air Jordan Fusion 4. This colorway pays respect to the White/Black pair of Air Jordan 4’s worn in the Spike Lee movie Do The Right Thing. Besides the colorup being on point, Jordan Brand added a colored lace debray and removed the mesh netting from the tongue - just like the exclusive pair for the film.

Onitsuka Tiger X-CALIBER

Developed in 1982, the X-CALIBER was the first of its kind to feature a unique mid-sole design, incorporating air flex canals to give increased movement and superior cushioning. It featured a reinforced toe design to help prevent injury to toes through slipping forward in motion, a unique zigzagged ‘quadra lacing’ system to ensure superior fit, mesh and nylon uppers to ensure better air ventilation and support, and most importantly - it looked great. The X-CALIBER used the highest technology and most sophisticated designs available. The first shoes came out in a great range of early eighties colorways. For the re-introduction the original colours are being reissued in true retro style: Red Clay/White and Blue/Silver launched at selected retailers across Europe: 1st of July.

Nike Air Force 1 Low - White - Total Orange - Lava

Not too long ago, we gave you a look at a new Air Force 1 Low model that throws in some inspiration from the classic Air Tech Challenge II. Like the white/black/hot red version we already showed you, this simple Air Force 1 Low also throws in the “Lava” pattern on the upper heel panel. This time, however, it uses a color scheme similar to the Tart and Clay Blue colorway from last year’s Rebel Pack. Other than the heel and tongue label, the shoe sports a simple white on white color scheme on the rest of the upper with additional accents coming by way of a Team Orange outsole and a Black lining. As a result, these kicks flaunt a simple, classic look, with the subtle Lava touch on the heel providing a nice dose of retro flavor. If you are feeling this sneaker, you can pick up a pair for yourself now at JDsports.

Air Jordan Force IV (AJF 4) GS - White - Vivid Pink - Techno Blue

We saw an Air Jordan Force IV (AJF 4) GS earlier today that was slightly different than the adult version, but this pair is just *different*. The AJF4 appears above in a speckled mix of the primary pigment colours. A white upper and midsole finds contrasts in bright red (vivid pink, to be exact), yellow and blue. All three colours come together atop the white midsole in the form of tiny splashes that tie the look together. These are set to drop on July 4 and you can grab them today from ExtraButter as well as ebay.

Nike Trainer mania is in full effect. With a bunch of limited releases launching the Trainer 1, it’s time to reach into the vaults for one of its forefathers. Expect these for Fall and check back with Sneaker News for more details.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII - White - Red - Detailed Images

Yesterday, we caused a serious stir with our preview pics of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII, and now more photos of the shoe are beginning to emerge. This latest look at the eagerly anticipated shoe seems to do the design more justice than previous images. The Zoom LeBron VI was arguably King James’ most popular shoe yet, so the Nike design team had a daunting task in front of them to try to top it. The jury is still out on most people’s reaction, but so far, the response has been fairly mixed. These new images should help those on the fence to get a better appreciation of the shoe from multiple angles.

This colorway looks to be similar to the white/red model we showed you yesterday, but the woven leather has been replaced with Flywire like the other samples that we’ve seen. This version also uses less red, taking a more minimalist approach to the accents, and thus, letting the lines of the design take center stage. Also of note, since this is the first we are seeing of some new angles of the shoe, you can see the inclusion of the large L23 LeBron logo on the Flywire section of the heel, as well as the full length Air Max sole unit. It is still too early to confirm if this will be the final version, but it’s definitely looking that way. You can see a bunch more great shots of the shoe after the jump and we’ll be sure to keep you posted on the latest Air Max LeBron VII news.
