Nike SB Dunk Low “Garfield” Sample
Inspired by America’s favorite lasagna eating cat, Jonathon Thong brings Garfield to life through the use of this Nike SB Dunk Low which is also from the 2004 White Dunk exhibit. Using a plush, furry material similar to that from the Three Bears Pack, a bright shade of orange is applied throughout the entire upper with a shot of green on the Swoosh. The same orange hue is also used on the mid-sole and on the canvas tongue, while applications of black appear on the outsole, around the top of the tongue, on the inner lining and on the heel “NIKE” embroidery.
Unfourently for collectors, these won’t ever be releasing and to our knowledge there’s only 1 pair out there, the samples which were on the display during the 2004 White Dunk exhibit in Tokyo. Did Johnathon Tong do a better job depicting the fat cat then he did the pink panther, or are they both failures in your eyes? Lets us know through the comments, or on Twitter, or on Facebook or however the hell you choose to stay in touch these days. Thanks to N-SB for the photo.
