Over the past couple of months we have seen numerous previews and various catalog scans of the Nike Zoom V, and even came across a few pairs for sale through a few of the resale sites. It wasn’t until today though when Nike and Kobe Bryant held an exclusive event hosted at the LA Forum that high quality, detailed images surfaced giving us the best view of what is soon to come in the Kobe Bryant signature sneaker department.
When Kobe appeared at the LA Forum for this exclusive event he walked out in a fresh LA Lakers away color scheme which instantly caught the attention of all on lookers in the flesh, on those who checked out the images online through the blogs. Shortly after unveiling the sneakers and going through a short Q&A Kobe sat down with Creator Director Eric Avar and Senior Researcher Matt Nurse to discuss the Zoom Kobe V and its production. During the discussion it was mentioned that the Kobe 5 weights in at a mere 10.6 ounces, which is by far the lightest basketball shoe to ever hit the market. If your an athlete and take your game seriously, the Nike Zoom Kobe V is defiantly going to be a sneaker you will wanna look into, and once which we are sure you will see plenty of on the court.
The shoes will become available first online through a unique Nike iD campaign beginning December 26, 2009. A retail launch will take place January 1, 2010 in China and January 16, 2010 throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.
