Converse Jack Purcell – Johnny Collection

The Converse Jack Purcell offers a more luxurious style, opposed to the punk-rock motif usually attributed to the Chuck Taylor. The Johnny Collection featured a revampd upper construction with two great colorways; a beige with a cream-midsole colorway comes in a mid and low, while a second brown is available in a low. All three pairs are constructed in canvas and are available at Converse for $85 (high) and $80 (low). You can also expect these at Jack Purcell accounts soon.

Nike Hyperdunk 2010 – Lamar Odom USAB PE

Lamar Odom is one of only two 30 year olds on the current USA Basketball squad, and while Kevin Durant might be the brightest star, L.O. is the team’s leader. He shares that role with fellow veteran Chauncey Billups, but Mr. Kardashian has one up on Mr. Big Shot in the form of this new Nike Hyperdunk 2010 PE. Identical to Chris Bosh’s pair except for the name on the tongue and the fact that these’ll actually see some playing time at the upcoming 2010 FIBA World Championships, Odom’s HD2k10 is as clean as they come.

Kevin Garnett’s First Signature Shoe with Anta

Kevin Garnett’s departure of adidas to join the budding NBA-player support of overseas-based sneaker brands left us asking a number of questions, the most common being of the “Why?” category. It could be about the money, or perhaps an opportunity to stretch out a personal brand into the Eastern Hemisphere – a region that has a huge NBA following. Here’s a look at Kevin Garnett’s first known signature shoe with Anta; while it may look more like a lifestyle off-the-court shoe rather than a performance shoe, we can get a solid idea of what his future signatures may appear like on a logo and colorway standpoint. At the center perforated panel, you will see a green Anta logo sitting on top of a silver graffiti graphic. The toe also features perforated leather, with the rest of the upper consisting of white leather – both matte and with an iridescent finish. Like KG’s low-post game, this first Anta show is off to quick first step. Continue reading for another look and let us know what you think of this design.

Solebox x Reebok Pump Omni Zone – Preview

Back in the early 90’s when LA Gear’s LA Lights were all the craze, something as simple as a blinking light was pleasing to a budding sneakerhead’s eye. These flashing lights are now part of a special pair of the Reebok Pump Omni Zone; Solebox is collaborating with Reebok to release a limited pair of the classic Omni Zone that features a black upper with a translucent upper accent on the lace wings and Pump, but its the red lights on the side panel that has us reminiscing about our childhood. These are set for a limited release in early 2011 so check out the extra shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for release info regarding this nostalgia-inducing collab.

Nike Air Max Trainer 1+ – Dark Grey – White – Retro

While it may be getting harder and harder to pick a pair of training shoes, the large library of options sure doesn’t hurt. The other day Sneaker News dropped images of a similar colorway but a second look reveals a retro blue colored midsole and a black upper flywire panel. The Air Max Trainer 1 features a daunting combination of full length 360 Air, Flywire on the upper, and a forefoot stability strap, and this new colorway of dark grey, white, and retro is just the second released colorway of the shoe. Of course, you can check out the Nike Air Max Trainer 1 Unleashed and make any color combo you like, but these aren’t a bad option at all. This new colorway just dropped at Nikestore so check out the closer shots after the jump and let us know what you think of the colorway.

Vans Vault Sk8-Hi ‘Shaffers Crossing’ Pack

It’s probably only a matter of time before at least some parts of the steampunk subculture go mainstream, and we’re just a bit ‘closer’ with the issuance of this new pack from Off the Wall. The Vans Vault Sk8-Hi ‘Shaffers’ take their nickname from the Shaffers Crossing railroad junction in Virginia and hearken back to a time when things moved at the speed of burning coal. Both of these Sk8-His feature industrial-grade square perforations on the side panels, but what unites them with the earlier Shaffers Crossing releases is the old school product patch placed on the medial ankle area. An interesting direction given all the subtle stuff to come outta Vans this summer, these joints are available from retailers like B&AB.

Nike Hyperdunk 2010 WBF – Lithuania – Puerto Rico – Gasol Spain PE

We already showed you the Nike Hyperfuse WBF Pack, but here’s a look at a few colorways of the Nike Hyperdunk 2010 representatives; you might remember the Hyperdunk 2010 Pau Gasol Spain PE but check out the Lithuanian pair in green, yellow, and red, taking after the Lithuanian flag as well as the Puerto Rican colorway. In addition to the Nike Hyperfuse, the Hyperdunk 2010 will be on showcase throughout the World Basketball Festival as well as the FIBA World Championships. These colorways are releasing today at NikeStore and other select Nike Basketball locations, so check your nearest spot to cop a pair.

Air Jordan 2010 Team – White – Green – Metallic Silver

Jordan Brand made at least two different Air Jordan 2010 All Star Game PEs for Ray Allen, but Mr. Shuttlesworth failed to make the squad this year and he wore other ‘team’ and retro Jordans for the entire season. If there was ever a time to see Sugar Ray rock an AJ2k10, it’s this soon to be released Air Jordan 2010 Team in the Celtics’ own white and green. These joints exemplify how clean a two-toned AJ2010 Team can be, and might make older sneakerheads wish they still had some school-ball days ahead of them. Luckily, anyone will be able to grab these when they hit retail, so stick with Sneaker News for word on the release date.

Nike Air Force 1 Low – WBF Collection

We saw the Nike Air Force 1 WBF Pack grow to include a blacked-out Brazil pair yesterday, and now here are two new additions. Joining the red Puerto Rico joints, yellow China pair, and aforementioned Brazilians are two countries who share the same flag colors but are friendly rivals at best. Both the France and USA WBF AF1 Lows are done in dark blue, with the France pair appearing to be more of a Midnight Navy while the Americans are likely Obsidian. As with all the rest, these joints have their country’s flag to designate the front, plus national pride debossing on the heel tabs. Last, but certainly not least in this collection celebrating the inaugural World Basketball Festival is the Air Force 1 High ‘Foamposite’, whose T-1000-like good looks are sure to draw fans from all over the world. Check out more shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more on the WBF and its related kicks.

Nike Air Max 90 ‘Pigeon’ by MizzeeCustoms

The above pictured Nike Air Max 90s by MizzeeCustoms might very well be the finest of those odes to the OG Pigeon, and they feature a ton of Staple-inspired details. From the range of greys to the orange-dyed soles, the colorway is spot-on. These joints feature the ’stpl’ logo on one tongue and ‘1 of 10′ on the other, in honor of the special edition lasered version, while the AM90’s signature heel tab has been removed to make room for the iconic bird insignias. As if all that weren’t good enough, Mizzee went a step further and added, shall we say, a ‘real’ look at what pigeons seem to spend all their time doing. Click the jump below for more shots and let us know how these rank against the Pigeon Dunks, other Pigeon-inspired shoes, and the other customs we’ve showcased here on Sneaker News.

Gourmet Cinque ‘Precinct 5′ – Fall/Winter 2010

When these first popped up in the Gourmet Fall/Winter 2010 preview a couple weeks back, our readers expected that this pair would get a lot of “Oooh those are cute. What are those?” Whether you’re looking for conversation starters or just a solid shoe for autumn, the Gourmet Cinque ‘Precinct 5′ has you covered. Offering a very distinct take on the popular chukka design, these Cinques have a great mix of tonal browns and red atop a wacky waffle midsole. The total effect is a shoe that’s all at once subtle and a head-turner, so stick with Sneaker News for updates on their US release.

Converse Jack Purcell ‘Brogue Leather’ Pack

We know by now that despite having seen literally hundreds of different editions, Converse always has something up their sleeves for the classic models. Case in point: this new Converse Jack Purcell ‘Brogue Leather’ Pack, a curiously named collection that only lives up to half of its name. Three pairs are available in rich leather including brown, navy and maroon, but none of them includes the classic brouge detailing you’d expect to find. Instead, the dress shoe theme is emphasized though the use of premium corded laces and the aforementioned superbly rich leather. Check out more images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for word on a possible stateside release, as they’re out at select SE Asian retailers now.

Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘07 – White – Sport Red

For the first Sneaker News: Classics Revisited feature of June the Sneaker News Staff decided to show off a pair of Original Air Force 1 Lows in white/red. The simple colorway combined with the superb materials made for a great shoe – a reason why the Air Force 1 maintains its historic status today. While these aren’t OGs, this new White/Sport Red Air Force 1 Low 07 would be an honorable throwback based on the white leather upper with the perfect colorblocking of Sport Red.

Nike Air Trainer Max 91 Grey Stone Medium Yellow Returns

Going back to the introduction of the Nike Trainer 1, the Air Trainer 1 retro, and the SC Trainer retros, the Nike Air Trainer line has been on a real good run. Adding to their retro release lineup, Nike recently released the Nike Air Trainer Max 91 in the OG Grey, Yellow, Black, and White colorway. Much of the classic make up is still in tact. As always there are some changes from the OG, but we are pretty close.
